Inspirational Child
Dedication: The Grateful American Campaign’s Inspirational Child’s Medallion, Coin, and Lapel Pin are dedicated to the loving memory of Lea Jean Kiddey November 91 – October 95. Lea was born with hydrocephalus*. She was quadriplegic, blind, and could not speak. Lea lived just short of 4 years.
Although she was born into the world with adversity, the spirit and way she addressed everyday life clearly made anyone she graced humble and aware of how they are blessed. Lea had an angelic aura about her that personified a child’s beauty and innocence.
Purpose: These simple but meaningful tokens are ways in which one can recognize children dealing with physical or mental adversity or a child who may not have any adversity but did something that benefited another life through their courage, purpose, kindness, and humility while exemplifying a child’s beauty and innocence.
The Inspirational Child’s Statement is dedicated to all these wonderful children. The statement is located on the back of the Grateful American Campaign’s Inspirational Child 2.75-inch polished Medallion and 2-inch polished Coin. It is the GAC’s hope that these beautiful items will provide a means to acknowledge a child who has changed the life of others with a simple and meaningful way to thank them. More importantly, the GAC designed these items with the idea that the child can hold, carry, display, and read the message as a daily reminder of their importance.
Additionally, the GAC will donate 20 percent from the purchase of each Inspirational Child Medallion, Coin, and Lapel Pin sold to help children who are in need. The remaining funds will be used to perpetuate Inspirational Child appreciation throughout the nation.
*As explained by the Mayo Clinic: Hydrocephalus is the buildup of fluid in the cavities (ventricles) deep within the brain. The excess fluid increases the size of the ventricles and puts pressure on the brain. Cerebrospinal fluid normally flows through the ventricles and bathes the brain and spinal column. But the pressure of too much cerebrospinal fluid associated with hydrocephalus can damage brain tissues and cause a range of impairments in brain function.
